In an effort to help Louisiana Citizens become more aware of the potential danger associated with Turkey Frying, the Louisiana State Firemen's Association (LSFA), along with LSU Fire and Emergency Training Institute sponsored demonstrations of "The Big Easy", a new fire-free and oil-free cooking appliance that uses infrared technology, in lieu of oil to safely cook a turkey.

These demonstrations were conducted in conjunction with Tailgating at the LSU vs. Auburn Conference Game on Saturday, October 20.  We were located on the Southside of Tiger Stadium before the big game.  Firefighters and the general public came by to visit and taste a piece of crispy delicious healthy turkey prepared in this new safer and healthier method while tailgating in Baton Rouge.

The LSFA hopes to draw attention to the potential danger associated with the typical Turkey Frying process and promote a safer and healthier alternative.

So join the LSFA taking the lead as "The Voice of the Louisiana Fire Service" by helping to educate Louisiana about this safer and healthier cooking technique.
